We are in Japan! I'm sitting in a net cafè called Gran Cyber Cafe in Shinjuku. 290 yen (a couple of euros) for an hour plus free drinks and manga. Yay. We still don't have accommodation in Kyoto and are trying to research that. Not having much luck, everyone wants to go to Kyoto next week, apparently. Hope you find a place to stay in Kyoto, it's such a beautiful city so it'd be a shame if you had to miss it.

Aww. It really was good, I agree. And you get to choose the stuff you want to eat!

I think we'll go to Kyoto anyway even if we don't have a place to sleep in... Wikitravel mentioned that one can rent a karaoke booth for the whole night and sleep on a sofa there. :D Or something like that. We have options. :P

i think this is called a digital cultural chock O_o didn't get half of it! i require explanations and pictures when you get home :D

Haha. :D I have plenty of pictures, but I was also able to add some Wikipedia links to the entry, if you'd be interested in having a look. I was going to do it earlier, but then there was no time...

(See! We have wireless Internet at the ryokan, our bed & breakfast, and Eath has a laptop with her!)

Makes heart ache back when reading this..
There is a very cheap backpacker place in Kyoto called K's and its not far away from the train station. Google it.

Thank you! We were actually able to sort out the accommodation problems after all which is very relieving. All thanks to a travel agency and we don't even have to pay very much for the hotel rooms. All in all we're happy.

Hope you have a nice time in Tokyo and hope you get at least that karaoke booth when in Kyoto!

Yes, I will. :)) It might take some time because there are lots of pictures and I'm lazy at uploading pics, but I'll do my best.

We found one yesterday from Akihabara! It was great, 7 floors full of anime/manga related stuff... I was nerdy and bought two Final Fantasy game soundtracks. :D But nothing else. Will maybe visit it again before leaving.
