Is it possible to own a house and a car without something breaking every month? This morning my garbage disposal, in its death throes, spewed its contents throughout the undersink cupboard. *exasperated sigh*

Absolutely not. We're in a Bonus Month too, with my car just having its second round of repairs (round 3 is next week) and our house roof replacement running into the need for expensive and unanticipated extra work. $ouch$.

Since last fall, I've had to repair or replace: van door latch, refrigerator, shocks, tires, van exhaust system . . . and that's just the stuff I can rattle off the top of my head, not counting all the stuff I've postponed or ignored entirely, like the van air conditioning, the leaky porch roof, the broken outside light fixtures, the crumbling front steps, etc. Good luck with your roof!
