Shouldn't people be doing something or have done something without being asked?

I do think we need a new natinal goal. Like an alternative energy source. It could be this generations Man on the Moon.

Unfortunately, sometimes people need inspiration and a group mentality to aspire to their higher selves. People should be doing things, but maybe with the current mood for "change" people honestly will.

And I absolutely agree about the alternative energy source as this generation's Man on the Moon. Hell, updating the power grid would be a great first step! And giving the automotive industry and kick in the arse in order to get these "loans" would help too (grumble grumble...make cars people want you bozos)
