Guy/Marian. The perfect ending for our story.

I had to catch up on my Robin Hood starting from the beginning of season 2. I don't know if thoughts like these have been expressed before, but I thought I'd share.

Even though I hate Marian's death, I see your point. I wanted to see the tension one more year. I have come to see M/G more than M/R for the same reasons you stated-Guy was more man. But, I've dealt with my disappointment with an idea-still forming in my head. I's writing to Tiger Aspect to suggest that when they finish RH, to make a series with Lucy, Richard and Joe(Yes, I read Rosie's fic-Go MAG). What do you think? Think of the delicious possibilities. You have some good points in your reaction. Theres more at my journal-am writing the letter Saturday. Add some ideas.

I read your thoughts, and I have to say that I agree with you completely. Spike and Buffy are one of my most favorite couples of all time and I always hated the ending they got. Like you said, all the build up was a waste. But its different with Guy and Marian. Its more fitting. I would hate it if they ever ended up like Spuffy. But I don't think this is the last of Marian and of their story. Of course, she will come back but its implications on her relationship with Guy and how his character develops from there will be most interesting to see. I don't think it can be so simple. I look forward to the third season.

Is there really a chance for Marian to come back? It really looked like she died )) But yeah, Guy is going to get much darker and angrier, Robin will too) but I don't find Robin that interesting )

You know, I really loved Spuffy in season 7. I am a Bangel, but season 7 Spuffy was great. Buffy was awkward around him because she was drawn to him and didn't know what to do about it. And Spike was less needy, more independent- they were indeed very touching. But I understand how you would be frustrated with the ending, they really did tease for waaay too long.

I strongly believe she will return. I don't know how or when but the writers cannot afford to lose a pivotal character as Marian. They realize and know the immense fan following she has, not to mention the various Guy/Marian as well Robin/Marian shippers who will be utterly disappointed. Its too big a risk according to me. She will return. Honestly speaking, sometimes (but very very rarely) i see sparks between Robin and Marian. But they're only sparks like how you would feel when you have a crush on someone. It seems superficial compared to what she shares and feels for Guy, according to me ( ... )

What can I say?
It's more than 2AM... I should be sleeping! lol

I just loved the way you've described the relationship between Guy/Marian/Robin. I agree I think, with everything you said.
It's going to be weird this 3rd season without Marian, even I've never liked her.

evil, strong, powerful and in love
Everything is said. You got it all.

Ps: Oh hey spike, I always loved him and hated Angel btw.

I’m glad it's not just me who thought it was incredibly romantic...
I was beginning to think I was a bit strange.

Throughout the past two series I have had a bit of a massive thing for Guy and always found Robin quite disappointing.
Not like the Disney fox version…
Now that is one hot fox!
It really got on my nerves when bobbin was ALWAYS lurking in the background throughout guys and Marians scenes, when the tension was tangibly crackling and you just KNOW maz'd have a moment of weakness and kiss him if HE wasn’t there…

I think that this might be mostly to do with the fact that LG and Richey have a bit of chemistry, rather than the writing...

Anyways, i thought it wasnt the BEST way to end things
... the sparks between guido and maz was the main thing drawing me in... but...
Gizzy and bobbin havent had a good scrap since that glorious day in the woods, but they'll be sure be plenty in series three!

“you killed my wife”
“god I loved that bitch” etc etc. [what’s the betting these lines actually feature?]
