You know Monica, I think that after about nineteen years of having been out on my own, paying bills, married, fathering, separated and quasi-divorced... I think I'd like to put my bid in as your parents surrogate kid. I would even come complete with a surrogate grand-kid. He'll even do chores if you can abide the eye rolling and heavy sighs. At any rate, I can only imagine that your folks will feel the void left in their home, and if it would ease the burden on their hearts, I can be there to have my rent, utilities and even car insurance paid for by them. Oh yes Monica, I would put down my pride to help these fine people (what are their names, by the way?) to deal with the struggle that will no doubt come with this cutting of the umbilical chord
