So... I've been pretty much in denial that school is starting in less than a month. Until I saw this post: Damn. It just hit me... kind of like "Holy shit, school is going to start, and it's a new school so it will be hardcore and I'll have to be mighty social the first while (and then I'll crawl back into my shell. I have been in denial about school starting in three weeks too.

Why are you changing schools?

WELL, it's a long story.

So I'll shorten it.

The school I used to go to was a school in the western suburbs of Minneapolis. "Minnetonka High School". "Suburb". Population of 3000 students... no more than ten black kids. This school was the center of Jesus loving, Arab hating, Republican whities. Plus, I was super depressed. SO, my shrink, mom, and I decided to quit Minnetonka, do classes online for the rest of the school year, and then go to a new school next year.

Wow, Did the students there give you shit? Like did they hassle you for being gay or whatever?

I go to a school with a lot of students like that, except that my school is far from all white.

Well... I wasn't out when I went there. Honestly, most of the people there aren't as bad as I say they are. Mostly, I was extremely unhappy there, and that's REALLY why I left.
