in a good way...
if you are nearly as big as a comic geek
as I am check out
Dresden Codak is one of the
smartest and weirdest mixes of sci-fi
and fanboy wonder
A lesson is learned...but the damage is indeed irreversible.
you have stolen my rhythm and my rhyme,
and i want you to keep updating, freaks...
Chugworth Academy is very inappropriate
in a mainstream straight guy sort of way,
but there's hints of yayoi and it's written
by a korean guy and a black dude, so some of it's
actually funny in from a P.O.C. perspective.
(the art gets a lot better after the first fifty or so...)
Inverloch is one of the few things
that i read that isn't foaming over with
weird ideas and freakish artwork and gobs
of violence. it's actually just a sweet
fantasy tale. And the artwork alone makes
it worth reading.
ok, i'm done.
some of my favorite sites and a brief description...
and just so i don't ruin my brain with delicious
junk art-comics...i'm almost done with "Guns, Germs, and
Steel" which i've been reading pretty much since i got
here...and i'm finishing "Native Speaker" by 이장래 (Chang Rae Lee)
which is an interesting novel about being korean-american and
a political-corporate spy.
