South Africa has formally begun the process of withdrawing from the International Criminal Court (ICC), notifying the UN of its decision.

Huh, so war criminals and those engage in genocide can get a safe haven in South Africa? Great :(

Why?

I'm surprised and a bit disappointed. But being a Brit I know all about the shameful ways ones government can act. (I must admit I thought Mandela's legacy would have prevented such things occurring.)
