Gone, just gone...
My husband doesn't buy me expensive jewelery mainly because I don't like expensive jewelery. He bought me a very expensive sapphire and gold necklace for Xmas one year and a sapphire, diamond and gold ring to replace my wedding ring the girls lost.
Today I saw my eldest daughter's library card so I thought I'd look for our 2nd born's library card and take them tomorrow. So I went to my mother's room where my box with pictures and my jewelery box is at. I asked her to keep it in her room because she keeps the door locked.
It wasn't safe.
She took my necklace and ring and PAWNED it within the last two weeks. Her excuse, we wouldn't buy her a water pump for her falling apart van.
I was in full panic mode when I found the jewelery box filled only with my faux jewelery and inexpensive jewelery. The box for the ring was gone and the box for the necklace was empty!
I tore my bedroom apart thinking that I might have put the jewelery some place else. Nope, couldn't find it. So I took HER room apart and cleaned it but couldn't find it.
I've been upset about it since it's VERY expensive, near $5,000 for both pieces. I figured maybe mom took it they day we had the fire and left it in her van but had to wait until she returned home from where she went.
4:00 PM and she shows up. My stupid eldest opens the living room window to ask her about my jewelery. I tell her to shut up and mind her own business. I go outside to ask my mother if she seen my ring and necklace.
Me: Mom, have you seen my ring and necklace? They're missing.
Her: ::in small voice:: I pawned it.
Me: WHAT!? WHY!?
Her: ::getting angry:: Because you wouldn't loan me the money to buy a new water pump for my van.
Me: WITH WHAT MONEY!?
Her: You could have put it on your credit card!
Me: You STOLE my jewelery! You took it without asking me! You took it without telling me! I could call the cops on you!
Her: But you didn't want to help me. You never want to help me.
Me: No, you always want us to do more for you when we can't. You wanted me to give you all the money from my credit card to open a new shop. Why? So we can pick up the bills again for you!?
Her: Your brats ruined my van!
Me: No, YOU ruined your own van.
Her: Everytime he loses the car I always let you use my van.
Me: Excuse me? If you remember, we GAVE you the money to buy the van to begin with. We GAVE you our red car which you exchanged for THAT VAN. The car loan was in MY name!
Her: You just abuse me. Take my money and give me nothing. You won't help me. You could have bought my water pump.
Me: You know what. That's bullshit and you know it. You gave "P" $20 for his birthday earlier this month then took it from him to go play bingo. You took the $20 off my desk that "R" gave me yesterday. You took another $20 from me the other week to go play bingo. You had $100 last week which you used to play bingo. YOU HAD THE MONEY FOR THE WATERPUMP LAST WEEK. CASH!

Her: $75.
Me: ::WTF!?:: You pawned my $5,000 necklace and ring for $75!!! WHERE!?
Her: Don't worry you'll get it back tomorrow.
Me: TOMORROW IS MEMORIAL DAY!! THEY WON'T BE OPEN! I WANT MY THINGS BACK NOW!

Goddammit! She STOLE my jewelery because we wouldn't give her money to repair her fucking piece of junk van. That thing is literally falling apart. I don't know when she took it, I don't know where she took it. There are only two places in town that pawns jewelery and two in the other town but those two places are known not to follow the law.
I'm out my jewelery because she thought she had the right to take MY jewelery that MY husband bought ME for her use because my kids "destroyed" her car.

On top of that, my husband has been giving her $20 each day to play bingo. Yes, that's not alot but we shouldn't even give her that. $20 per day x 30 days = $600. $600 that I could use for myself, the kids or the house. She bitched on Friday that the hubby needs to give her $50 per day. WTF!? Bitch go get your social security because you're not getting another fucking dime from us.
