I didn't know about her involvement in D&D until I was already a fan of her as a solo artist.

I pretty much discovered Olivia by chance one day in 2002 or 2003. I was skimming through music from a random music rotation on LiveJournal and I came across "Lettuce Garden". I downloaded it and it instantly became my favorite song. It was so unique. I've been a fan of Olivia ever since that day.

"Lettuce Garden".
9) What was the song that made you love her?
Again with "Lettuce Garden". I see a pattern lol.
10) What is your (overall) favorite song by her?
"Lettuce Garden", "Denial", "Because", "Dekinai", "Purple Box". Honestly, I could add on "Blind Unicorn" and "Dream Catcher" and so many others because I love pretty much every single one of her songs. Even the sillier ones like "Pass Me the Sugar".
11) What is your favorite song by her in (full) English?
"Denial".
12) What is your favorite song by her in Japanese?
"Because". I love the showcasing of her vocal range in this song.
13) What is your favorite b-side song by her?
"Lettuce Garden" and "Grapefruit Tea". The "Color of Your Spoon" single was the first CD I bought by Olivia and it's always going to hold a special place for me.
14) Do you prefer her songs in English, Japanese, or both?
Both. I kind of wish every song she's put out were available in both languages, but that would be crazy and insane and way too much work for any one person to do.
15) Some of her songs have two versions. Do you prefer those particular songs in English, Japanese, or does it not matter?
It honestly depends on the song. From her earlier work, I would have to say I preferred the English versions. Nowadays, both languages seem to flow very well.
16) Is there a particular song in English that you loved to hear in Japanese (or vice-versa)?
I think "Denial" would have been interesting in Japanese. I would love to hear "Because" in English.
17) Is there a particular song you dislike? If so, why?
Umm. Not really, no. There are certain songs I won't put on repeat or listen to very often such as her very early singles, but I still listen to them and enjoy them.
18) Was there a song that most fans loved yet you never understood why it was so loved (or hated/vice-versa)?
I don't understand why so many people complain about her newer releases. She's happy now and that's a good thing. Yes, I also love her work in "The Lost Lolli" era, but it's nice to see a happier Olivia. I would rather she be happy and putting out happy music rather than still being horribly depressed.
I also don't understand why so many people are in love with "a little pain". It's a decent song, but not what I would say is her best. That's just my opinion, though. I'll agree to disagree.
19) Are there any songs that you feel doesn't get much appreciation/are ignored?
"Lettuce Garden", "Grapefruit Tea", "Denial", "Purple Box", "Internal Bleeding Strawberry", "Sugarbloodsuckers" . . . etc. I feel like a lot of her pre-Nana material is very underrated since it wasn't until Nana that she was really able to break out, become extremely popular, and be recognized.
20) Is there a particular song that freaked you out?
Haha. "Sugarbloodsuckers". I'll admit, my first reaction upon listening to it was a headache. I've come to like it, though.
21) Is there a particular song that would sound good without vocals?
Most of her songs would sound good as instrumentals, but I love her vocals. =\

I think it's kind of random that it happens to be the only song they chose to play around with like that.

"The Lost Lolli" and all of her mini-albums of that era. I still love her newer stuff, too, but those songs helped me through a really rough time.

It would depend on what type of person I would be recommending her music to. Luckily, Olivia is a very versatile and experimental artist, so there should be at least one song by her that anyone would like no matter what type of person they are.

None of her songs have made me cry, but I have cried while listening to her some of songs. "Denial" comes to mind immediately.

I think it would be cool to see her act in something, but it's kind of nice to see a singer sticking to singing.
