Don't be sweet, lest you be eaten up; don't be bitter, lest you be spewed out.

Seems that I came down with some sort of a stomach flu. Been puking up my guts for the last two days. I barely got any sleep, always just managed to nod off before I had to jump up and run to make another offering to the porcelain God again. I haven't gotten anything done, because even sitting up for more than a few minutes hurt like hell. My fever ( Read more... )

SSI only started going bankrupt when Bush came into service. Huh. How odd.

Cute! I have a thing for hedgehogs. I had an albino male named Yoshi who I ended up selling because he wasn't properly socialized by his former owner. I tried to socialize him, and he'd insist on biting everyone and peeing on everything. Maybe I'll get another one someday.

Social security has been hemorrhaging badly for the last few of decades, largely because of the huge increase in costs and the fact that seniors are simply collecting more benefits over a longer period of time... and the system hasn't been brought into this decade and is still operating on a pre-WW2 mindset. Only reason we're really hearing about it now is that Bush needs something to distract from his other gross failures and a way to pay for those failures. So hey, lets make up a fake crisis! We're good at that!

Its weird, some hedgehogs are really antisocial, while others don't seem to care in the least. I'm not really sure what makes the difference. Many refuse to be socialized once at adult size.

People need to stop having so many kids... that would probably help.

Mine was never handled from birth. So he was very antisocial. I tried everything, nothing worked. He was an adult when I got him.

His new home is as a display animal for a guy up North. He tries to handle him occasionally, but seems to enjoy watching him run around the house on his exercise days more than anything else.

It is absolutely how incredibly energetic they are for wide-butted, little lumpy looking things. :)
