Ozias James Goold -- 8 lbs. 2 oz, 21 inches of adorable elven love. Ozias (oh-ZI-us) is a Hebrew name* meaning "God's strength," James is for my Uncle Jim. Congratulations!!! Huzzah! I love the name. That's very cute. I'm sorry you had 14 hours of labor. yuck. Are you doing alright? I hope all is well! lots of love!

I had an epidural 5 hours in, but I let it wear off near the end so I could push better. So 14 hours of labor with about 6 hours of it felt. That said, it was felt significantly near the end - One word; stitches. But I'm only on rx motrin now, and feeling better about life/sitting/moving.

And thanks for the congrats/love of his name, we're pretty happy.

okay...love the name, but I've been planning on using Oz as a nickname for my second son (who will be named Oscar) for the last...oh, six years or so. I hope you don't mind that I'm still going to go ahead with that plan.
that said, congratulations! I'm glad he's healthy!
