Ozias James Goold -- 8 lbs. 2 oz, 21 inches of adorable elven love. Ozias (oh-ZI-us) is a Hebrew name* meaning "God's strength," James is for my Uncle Jim. And Spensaur, for the record, knew the name of the baby as soon as he laid eyes on him. He was born on April 30th at 2:18 pm, after roughly 14 hours of chemically-induced labor

Congratulations!!! Huzzah! I love the name. That's very cute. I'm sorry you had 14 hours of labor. yuck. Are you doing alright? I hope all is well! lots of love!

I had an epidural 5 hours in, but I let it wear off near the end so I could push better. So 14 hours of labor with about 6 hours of it felt. That said, it was felt significantly near the end - One word; stitches. But I'm only on rx motrin now, and feeling better about life/sitting/moving.

And thanks for the congrats/love of his name, we're pretty happy.

okay...love the name, but I've been planning on using Oz as a nickname for my second son (who will be named Oscar) for the last...oh, six years or so. I hope you don't mind that I'm still going to go ahead with that plan.
