This is ridiculous. Does Gigiss still read your journal? I think he'd say the same.

I don't think I was ever introduced to him, since I don't know who that is. This is on a "only LDS I'm close to" filter. But I'm sure this Gigiss is a lovely man. :)

But I agree it's ridiculous. His reply last night was, "Is this Sister Gould?" When I replied yes (GOOLD!!! And no, I didn't write that, lol.) He replied, "I'll get Bro. So-n-so right on that." Really? So all this time, you hadn't asked him to be on it? All the other times you've snapped at me or made excuses on why no one, including you, cares?

This also doesn't change the fact that I was inquiring for a blessing for my son, and he ignored the request for a blessing for Ozzie. Fine, you may not like me for some reason, but ignoring the needs of a two year old? I'm just distraught, b/c the point the bishop became openly irritated with me was when I asked a 3rd time in 3 months about the nursery people, b/c my son was getting beaten up and they were ignoring it. I know no one likes a nag, but surely as a parent he understands a mother's worry about her son ( ... )

Oh, oops about Gigiss. He's been on LJ since the beginning and happens to be in a stake presidency. I "met" both him and you on the Mormon LJ community. Anyway, he IS a lovely man and I'll ask him about the boundary thing to make certain.

But. No matter the answer, I know they cannot FORCE you to attend a certain ward. Still, the variance is important, because what you need is home teachers and so on, and for that you need to be officially in the ward.

Now that I think about it, I do know of people in my ward who have a variance. I'll ask Gigiss about the procedure.

I think I would think about going over his head and tattling. Didn't the Stake Pres. express a bit of concern a little while back? Call him and tell him in no uncertain terms that you need access to priesthood!! This is ridiculous!

I'm so vindictive, I'd probably tell the bishop exactly what you just posted here AND go to the stake president and tell him the same thing and ask for a boundary waiver. I'm all about letting people in positions of authority know when they're failing.
