Oh gosh... I ALMOST went with Usopp, but I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon here and say Chopper. Your distance from others, slight cowardice got me moving that direction, but the loyal part is what did it, because no matter what bad situation Chopper gets into, he's there for his friends (which you also mentioned you care about.)
