Jeff leaned back, going for casual, and hating the fact that nothing around Annie ever came naturally. It was so much work.

To your !!FLAIL!!: That's what I adore about this pairing. They're so sweet and casual, and then every now and then Jeff says something to Annie that just turns my heart into a sparkly puddle of happiness.

I loved everyyyyy single second of this. Seriously, it was hilarious in all the right parts (Jeff's suicide bomb-style pottery explosion made me laugh for a good while), wonderfully sweet in others, and damn perfect overall. So, so many amazing lines (the dialogue alone is brilliant, never mind all your wonderful phrasing), but this particularly stood out:

He tried a charming smile but it quickly became apologetic, then awkward. At some point Annie always made him run through those emotions.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! I love that so much.

...you will be writing more Jeff/Annie fic. Right?
