I miss writing House fic.  Maybe I'll give it another go-round when this season starts... although I also don't know if I'll be able to stomach watching it.  House/Cuddy dslkjsdfkjsdl.

Suppose I could go back and write fic placed in previous seasons.  That's a possibility.

I hear you. There were lots of things I just hated about the House fandom, but there are also aspects of it I loved and that I miss. However, I'm not really happy where the show has taken the characters, and that means I'm not really motivated to write for them.

Yeah, there's just too much drama for a fandom that I wanted to share enthusiasm over, not unnecessary bickering. It's a shame the writers didn't have a fuller, more concise idea of where to take the show. I'm a big fan of the shortness of BBC shows, for instance (ie, Life on Mars).

*sigh* Suppose that's what the mem button is for. At least the classics are reserved for when we need them!

Aw, honey, I'm not even sure I want to WATCH new seasons with canon House/Cuddy (I'm sure it'll fall apart soon, but until I know 100%, meh), but I would sure love to read more House fic from you <3

P.S.: Miss you!

It will be excruciatingly painful, that's for sure. *grimaces* I plan on watching with fellow House/Wilson slashers so we can crack jokes and share pain over what promises to be hideously awkward eps.

Miss you, too! I could have made a serious habit of grabbing coffee with you had Rome been more than just a few month's stay. Hope you're well and doing what you love. :)

I'm a bit bored with House now... I feel like it is directionless, ya know? And it feels trapped within its own format. English TV is more interesting because they are not afraid to make things happen to the characters.

Watch Sherlock!

Directionless is the perfect word. And format is okay as long as writers don't feel the need to do GASP DRAMATICS in every flipping episode, consequently eliminating the rising/falling action of any discliplined story arc.

As for Sherlock--at your behest (and excellent judgement) I became thoroughly addicted within minutes of the first ep... and then megavideo cut me out with only five minutes left of the pilot!!!! There was much yelling. I'm trying to track down a better link tonight, b/c it really is fantastic. Love the texting, the way type is overlapped, and of course the endless slashing possibilities. (Cafe / chase cab scene, anyone?)

To be fair, House does have great characters in it, which is why we love it in the first place (except for Cameron IMO). But it's true that OFTEN the preview voiceover ominously warns that next week will be "the most GASP DRAMATIC episode yet -- you won't want to miss it as PPTH will be CHANGED FOREVER!!!!!"

Re: Sherlock: Oh noes! You must see the last 5 minutes of the first ep! It's full of even more wondrous slashy goodness. And how adorable is it that the writers turn slash on its head by having everyone *assume* that John and Sherlock are already a couple? *squees*

I was hoping you'd like the London stuff! Some of the camera work is like city!porn.
