I have also seen Nicholas Nickleby and found it to be the 2nd worst period piece I have ever seen (surpassed only by Persuasion; omg, I dozed off during that one; anyways Smike freaked me out w/his sickliness and needed to die way sooner to alleviate the stress from watching that movie). However, I recently saw Sense & Sensibility and highly recommed it. ;)

Sense and sensibility...the one with hugh grant? I LOVE that one! I really liked willobey or whatever his name was...even though he WAS a bit of a cad...;) Yeah, nicholas nickelby would have been far better if the main actor WASN'T SO HORRID!!! He delivered his lines like he was a 5th grader in a school play....He was completely unbelievable. Him and Anne Hathaway. If they had been replaced by good actors, it would have been a tolerable film. Instead they made it incredibly hokey.
