I've read this one and it was blah. I knew from the start who the bad guy (girl) was. Sigh...

Are you not feeling well?

It's a shame you didn't enjoy it. I wasn't sure I was going to when I first started it. I had no idea who the killer was.

J and I have had a horrid double bug/virus/possibly Covid/possibly something else for almost two weeks now. Life if extra hard at the moment, as you can imagine.

It was a shame as it was blatantly obvious to me. I got it to read just before going to Egypt. Sigh.

I'm very sorry to hear this! I hope you are both feeling better soon.

It's a shame when the murderer is so blatantly obvious. Such a shame.

Thank you. We're getting there (I think).

Wow, I didn't even Christie had written what I'd call a historical novel, more than a mystery. It sounds interesting, though, like you, I'd have trouble with the names, forgetting who is who.

Nor do I *g* Which is somewhat embarrassing to admit. It's nice to know I'm not alone with my 'name confusion'.

The names thing would affect me too and trying to pronounce them in my head every time. LOL! But I do think this sounds very good and will try it at some stage. Really excellent review, as always, M'dear.

I enjoyed reading this review (as usual for your reviews)! Using this icon in honor of the book you read, because Bouhaki is one of the earliest recorded cat names in history, and it's ancient Egyptian. (And yes, we had a kitty to whom we gave that name!)

My additional 'challenge' within the challenge was to read only one Miss Marple and one Hercule Poirot book, with the other ten being stand-alone books. This I achieved

What an interesting challenge, and I'm glad to hear you achieved it. I have only read a few AC books, and many of the ones you read & wrote about sounded quite entertaining!

Thank you. It's nice to know you enjoy reading my review 'rambles'. What a lovely choice of icon and thank you for the bit of background.

Thank you; I wanted to put a bit of a twist to the challenge as it would be too easy to just read my way through a Miss Marple of HP. Her stand-alones are all too easily over-looked.
