I love your robins. They’re so much more … I’m not sure of the correct word … cute? sweet? festive? than ours. Not that ours aren’t nice birds, but they don’t stay here for the winter, so they’re more a harbinger of spring than Christmas.

I know what you. Most of my American friends say the same about our robins and how different they are from yours, including the fact you don't have them in the winter, whereas they are our Christmas/winter bird.

Did you see ths post spikesgirl made a few years ago with the “ugly” sweaters? While I was playing around with the sweater generator, I made one with robins. If I’d been able to post a picture on my reply, I would have included it, because it immediately made me think of you.
