Wow --- angsty! XD I'm obviously a fan of angst and I thought you really nailed Chuck's inner voice in this piece. I especially cringed at the truth behind: "He doesn't love John Casey. But he does owe him. Not *every* day does a guy *murder* people for you."
Scared and emotionally torn, but still sane enough to down his bitter happiness in one swallow---that really is the new Chuck Bartowski.
Thank you, dear. This: I thought you really nailed Chuck's inner voice in this piece. Is especially generous, and totally beyond flattering.
Apparently, when I write solo, I only know how to do angst! Hee.
Also, since I was curious-- because you're so wonderfully articulate-- I started reading 'Tag Team.' And, WTF, dude, how come I've never read anything by you before? Then I realized it was probably because I haven't been hunting much through the fandoms lately with all the RL stuff going on that I have. Not that I hunt much anyway, but still where have you been hiding? Not done with it yet and need sleep, but I plan to come back to you on that. Srs.
I'm flattered (XD) but I have to warn you, some of my older pieces aren't worth dirt. It's only recently that I've been able to write 'okay'.
In any case, I hope you plan on writing more for our dear Chuck fandom. I would absolutely LOVE to see a multi-chapter story from you --- but I'm not pushing! ;D Anything you whip up will be well worth the read.
I know what you mean-- I hardly like anything I ever write.
I finished Tag Team-- enjoyed it immensely and when I get time, I plan to go through and comment properly. (Would have done so yesterday only I woke up to find that they'd cut off our power!) Whee-- living like the Amish for a bit here, so, the only time I have to get on is whilst I'm in town where there's wifi.
I love Chuck and I love writing in it, I just don't usually write by myself. I find myself much more comfortable co-authoring than solo-swinging it.
Ever do any co-authoring or RPing? Any interest in it?
Hit me up on AIM if you have the urge: ColoredInsideOut
But I appreciate the sentiment, either way! Because my own partner-in-crime usually has to sit on me to get me scribbling. Me and the slave-driver I love
