Seriously, I was afraid to go out almost the last couple of days. I even decided against taking the dogs to the dog park, just in case. My dad went to the hospital on tuesday, for what turned out to be an abscess in his intestinal tract. I have never seen my dad in so much pain. But he's out and improving. I survived, my son survived, my boyfriend

You and me and nearly everyone I know. But this year has started off feeling remarkably lovely for most of my friends and amazing for me, which is unusual. So, I have hope, for all of us. I love you and hope to see more of you before this time next year.
