So our director posted our new cast assignments for the February show... I can't say I'm thrilled. If I'm reading the thing correctly, I'm only playing a GENtern - no opening victim, no Marni, no Zydrate Anatomy. Which means: No real singing, no acting to speak of, just prancing around onstage in a tiny dress and five-inch heels

Awwwh bb, sucks about the theater thing, I hope in the next show you get a part you want!

Well, see - I had a part that, if it wasn't the one I wanted, precisely, I still had fun doing it, because I got to to the opening victim (ie: I was the only one on the stage and there was at least a bit of acting involved) and Marni (solo singing near the top of my range in the middle of one of my favorite songs in the entire show) and a mourner (more singing high in my range, where my voice stood out among others' who seemed to be afraid to sing too loudly). And now, all of a sudden, I am not those parts anymore. I understand that Emily (that's our director) is trying to spread parts out a little more, so there isn't so much crazy running around backstage doing quick changes and things, but Marni at least - it doesn't look like she's reassigned it, I just don't get to do it anymore for some reason! And that's what upsets me, really. I forget, have you seen Repo?

;_; That's a big bummer, I know we always can't get what we want in life, but there should be a reason to why you can't get that particular part.
I have not seen Repo yet!
