Anybody still using Tiger? We are, because we have stroppy X11 packages that don't work on Leopard. Anyway, if you install Security Update 2009-002, X11 will break. Why? Because applications are referencing a package - libexpat.0.dylib - that's been removed! Symlink libexpat.0.dylib to /usr/X11R6/lib/libexpat.dylib and lo! X11 starts working again ( Read more... )

Who the hell compiles release applications against static libraries anyway? Grr.

(I see this far too often in research computing.)

i was about to say "yes!" "and panther too!"... but then i realised i'd been burgled:-( oh well. wonder if i'll miss the free snow leopard boat with my replacements?
