Where do we go from here?

So.....
A few weeks ago the Dr.s at the clinic had to tell me they couldn't afford me. Business has been slow-it's starting to build. But not fast enough. At the end of the day, they are paying me a decent wage but not taking anything home for themselves. So, we agreed for me to go down to one day a week for now. We hope it picks up. I think they need to change their name to "Impure" or maybe they should try "So NOT Fucking Pure." I'm so sorry, sweetie. Sounds like they've totally screwed with you and some of your friends/colleagues.

I'm proud of you for being so positive about the situation. Hope the EI comes through as soon as possible and without too many headaches. And I'm sure you will find something else really soon. Because you rock.

indeed, I am getting over the disappointment though. just thinking ahead and realizing that I need to work for people that give a shit. the clinic is awesome, but they are hurting as badly as I am.

I know this doesn't make anything better for you but in my (limited) experience I think a "Mission Statement" is purely meant to look nice in framed on a wall and to be quoted on 'official' occasions. And that's about it.

It does sound like you've got a lot of things that you can now put on your CV though for the future, which has to be a good thing.

You hear this sort of story so much now. Companies really do seem to be just trying to stay afloat, whoever and wherever they are and to hell with the consequences and their staff.
