I would also suggest The Wedding Singer, Sense and Sensibility, KILL BILL 1 and 2, The Princess Bride (You can watch that no matter what mood you are in and you can't help but feel better.), and Something's Got to Give. Diane Keaton's crying scene... hilarious.
