I hope you get it.

It seems strange to me though that you have this idea that the NW is an entity that is somehow aginst you. That it is somehow a lesser place and the people here aren't as good as midwesterners.

Right and probably wrong, it feels that way to me work-wise ( ... )

I would be tearing my hair out at the same reasons. Although I've a grumble-mumble share of the large corporate/government versions, the stick-to-it ones have been the small ones, or at least the ones that felt like it.

All is not lost, I swear. You'll find something (hope you get the Whole Foods!). Sorry I can't be as helpful as wanted (no openings, and all programming/internet-support type), but have a gander at a portion of the now-way-too-old opening post here--I know they're out here in the NW:

What is important to me is not your race, age, or sex, religion, etc. What is important is that you know what you need to know to do the job, you have the necessary skills, you are interested, ney, passionate about what you'll be doing, you're responsible, and you have a good attitude ( ... )

I think it's cool that you have pride about where you come from. I've never been past Denver, but I always hear that people in Kansas are awesome. And there are definately people here that aren't that great which is exactly why I don't want to be lumped in with them because of where I grew up. I know you have nothing aginst me or anything, I just wanted to stand up for those of us in the NW that deserve it.
