I'm thinking of getting a cellphone.. THINKING.. And I'm wondering what cellphone service people recommend.

Nextel is cool. You get tons of coverage area cause they have towers just about everywhere. Plus you get a radio. The plans aren't too bad, usually they come with lots of day minutes and free nights and weekends. Oh, and the motorola phones are durable as hell.

I like verizon, free in-calling, free nights and weekends and a bunch of other stuff I don't know about XD

Personally I've been thinking about getting a celly myself.

I've read reviews and this is what I've come up with.

Best Service: Sprint w/ Chatpak. Everyone is talking about it..

Best Coverage: Verizon hands down. Consumer Reports just did a study and Verizon scored the top spot in all cities studied for best coverage and they did about 30 to 50 cities.

So if it were for emergencies I would get Verizon because you don't want to be stranded with no service.

Verizon sux in this area...Like MAYBE 1 bar of signal...But thats over here. And othr ppl I know say that Verizon isn't that great.. So they went to other services.

Its just really DEEP lookin into.

usually for me, verizon is fine....i like it, and its not too expensive, especially with the free mobile to mobile, and $5 a month for unlimited texting ^^

service can be crappy sometimes, but a lot of times my friends with other cell phones gotta use mine when theirs is out ^__^
