I wonder what the people around me think when I have a forty minute conversation with my boss on the irony of having a conversation about irony.

So far, we've determined that, no, it isn't ironic. Just coincidental, and a huge waste of time.

What if you're having a conversation about irony, and then something ironic happens? Does the conversation cause a statistically significant effect on the irony of the situation? I expect a 300 word abstract on the subject in one week, with a full research paper to follow.
