Volunteerism today

Today I spent the day helping deliver goods to shelters for battered women and children. Many of the places I went were secret to the point that I had to sign a non-disclosure agreement and had to be accompanied in or they wouldn't let me go

That is so sad. :(

I used to want to work in places like that and help the women and children, but I honestly don't know if I could handle it. I might just burst into tears while I was there.

no one is safe, adult, child or animal... one of the reasons i am not religious. it was upsetting reading that, massive kudos to you for volunteering.
