Telemarketers sue over do-not-call list

Finally, some action about the Do Not Call List!

So what's the DoNotCall list? It's very simple, telemarketing companies are not allowed anymore to call US citizens after October 1, 20003, if they put their name on the list (donotcall.gov website).

(I wish they could do that with email spam! *sigh* It certainly will come though)

" Beginning in September, telemarketers will have to check the list every three months to see who doesn't want to be called. Those who call listed people could be fined up to $11,000 for each violation. Consumers would file complaints to an automated phone or online system. "
