He definitely has a goal set, and that's to become an architect. He's not letting race, previous drama, or anything hold him back there. But that's where the intelligence vanishes.
Today marked a high point for the stupid. He's at a gas station about left, then suddenly stopped to point at something. It turned out to be two Muslim women heavily covered in a black SUV. He and his friend (equally dense) argued on the way back that if they were in their hoodies like that, they'd be pulled over and how it was unfair that police didn't find the women suspicious. The more I tried to argue that the women were covered because of religious beliefs, the more it fell on deaf hears.
" You wasn't from the streets. Muslims were not carried here on boats like the Africans were, they haven't suffered. The cops would stop us if we were dressed like that."<== He seriously said this
