――First off, your impressions of the summer performance.
Kaji:For “Sannin de Doubles,” the three of us, who usually do things we each like to do, had a nice moment with a feeling that we “became one,”and I really like that scene.Kamakari:Kaji's face looks so happy. *grin*Kaji:The song scene especially, when I get the advice from Kikumaru-senpai. Recently, I listened to that scene on the CD, and I almost cried again. On the train. *grin* That scene is “naked.”Adachi:Me too, because of Kaji-kun, it was easy to do.Kaji:That makes me happy.Kamakari:Well, watching you two from our side was good, too!Zukkii:Well...that's right.All:*laugh*Zukkii:No, really. Because while I was cheering these two on, I saw the whole thing on standby in the wings. Adachi was doing his best and jumping; Kaji too, doing his best in my place, looked awesome. Watching so nearby with the eyes of an outsider, I was able to see them with new eyes, and it was great. It was also my first time not appearing in a match.Adachi:The song in that scene was also good, huh?Kaji:That’s right. We had a lot of discussions.Adachi:There was hitting.Kamakari:There wasn't any hitting, though. *grin* The feeling of “let's make a good thing” rapidly grew strong, and if the things we wanted to say to each other weren't fighting, it was no use. So I got mad at Kouji for various things; Kouji, too, said various things to me. With that sort of feeling, even in the middle of the performance, it was rapidly getting better, and our motivation increased. But I think it was like that for everyone.Date:There were also a lot of discussions with all of Hyoutei...Kamakari:Kouji, raise the tone of your voice a little! *all present laugh*Date:At the end, everyone had become one, hadn't they.
――Date-kun, were you nervous for the performance?
Date:I did not get nervous.All:Oi!Date:I also did not cry.All:Oi!Kamakari:Getting nervous and crying! Those are your areas of expertise!Kaji:You're the best at both, idiot! *grin* For Kouji-kun's part, in the middle of the performance, he was looking around, really worrying. I said, “I wonder if he's okay...”Kamakari:Almost immediately, in my scene with Kouji, we talked about how to make the back-to-back pose from the original work, but even though we said, “Let's not do it today,” in the performance, when I noticed this guy, he did it! *grin* He's got that kind of audacity, too. Kamakari:I was~! But personally, I was really nervous even in the middle of practice, but in some respects I was worrying about Kouji. ...Ah, sorry. ――How was it watching the DVD of the summer performance?
Date:I was pretty depressed...Adachi:The DVD is a depressing thing. I wasn't satisfied even once.Kamakari:In the beginning I thought a lot about it, but I watch it time and time again.Date:But it's depressing the first time.Kamakari:“(Because it's a play,) these are the things we were told” - you understand those things, right?Adachi:I got depressed before “Sannin de Doubles,” and I still haven't watched “Sannin de Doubles.” *all present laugh*Date:I know the feeling.Kaji:While I was watching it, I was thinking things like, “The way I did this here was good,” “the way this person did this was good.” Everyone's together, after all, right? So I wasn't depressed.Zukkii:As Kenken said, there was something like, “These are the things were were told.” So I reflected on things I couldn't see objectively.Kamakari:When I watch the DVD, I really understand. The way I talk, the “breaks.” So I watch it time and time again.Kaji:It becomes a learning experience.
――Kamakari-kun and Date-kun, were there any points that you had trouble with when you first created your roles?
Kamakari:Everything, the voice and everything. At first, I thought I should create the atmosphere, and when I gave the sense of a too manly voice, my voice became thick. Then, Kouji advised me, “Isn't it okay if you use more of your normal voice?” We discussed the nature of our relationship.Date:Right. Wah, he's really a senpai. We were able to have circumstances close to the original work, so it was easy to do.Kamakari:We were good at the real nature of the relationship between Shishido and Ohtori.Date:Instead, it was difficult thinking about how I should communicate with my fellow second-years, Kabaji and Hiyoshi.Kaji:Kouji is experienced in tennis, so the feeling that he's easy to watch is good! ――Have your impressions changed from before you met to since you met?
Zukkii:Kenken entered into it really easily. The first meeting with Seigaku and Hyoutei, when we had to get along, I called, “Let's go out to eat, too!” but then, the very first person to react was Kenken! Like, “Right, let's go!”Kamakari:I was unreasonably nervous then, too; everyone was withering, so I really wanted to thank Seigaku for the offer that came from their side.Zukkii:The awesome reaction was great, and I soon understood that this person was Hyoutei's “mood maker.” *grin*
――How was it the first time you saw the fliers?
Kaji:I was impatient. The instant I saw the flier, I said, “Crap!” Like, “They're ikamen, aren't they - all of them!” *grin*[3]Zukkii:They were dazzling. *grin*Kaji:Actually, when we met, the biggest gap was between me and Kenken. At first he seemed really “cool.” But when we went out to eat together, he was incredibly, incredibly cheerful.Kamakari:Even though Kaji isn't 18 yet, he's a man who was able do do things incredibly well.Zukkii:Are you sucking up to each other?!Kamakari:Adaachin and I became friends a little later. Even though Kouji and Adaachin got along really well, why was a wall able to be made between here (Kamakari) and here (Adachi) for so long? *grin*Kaji:I thought Kouji was a strange kid. I often didn't know if he was level-headed or an idiot. *grin* He didn't talk very much.Date:Because I was nervous...Kaji:I knew he was a serious kid, so it got so that we talked.Zukkii:Right, right. Adachi:I'll do my best again with this trio!Kaji:I understand the points I reflected on, so I want to change them and make them better. And I want the confrontation of both schools to be more and more hot, and to more and more freshly act out this story of youth, which is able to deeply move people.Zukkii:I have the role of vice captain, and until now, I thought I was the one with the least to do, so this time, while making the role more important, I want to do it with a feeling of “putting out more of myself.”Kamakari:I experienced the summer performance, and various things became learning experiences; I understood the way to genuinely have fun.
