The Basics
Name: I go by Arisa.
Age: 17
Describe the meaning or significance in your username: "Three Libras" is a song by A Perfect Circle. It's a very, very sad song... I first heard it when an ex posted the lyrics in his LJ, mentioning that it made him think of me. This stuck in my head because, you know... it's not exactly a good thing, and it made me pretty depressed. I wound up meeting and falling in love with a guy because he mentioned that he loved this song, and I bought a rename token while he and I were together becaise it was "our song", in a way. We've since broken up, but the song still holds a lot of meaning for me. I still cry every so often when I listen to it, too.

Favorite color: Gold. I couldn't really tell you why. It just makes me happy. After that, though, I'd have to say dark/navy blue. It's very calming.
Do you give orders or simple follow what's given to you? I'm a follower. I'm very passive (and passive-aggressive!), and also very shy. I was flight commander in my JROTC flight once, and the whole flight basically ignored me because they didn't have much respect for me. In my defense, it was a first-year flight. I think they only bothered taking the class because they thought it would be easy.
Is the glass half full or half empty? It varies. Some days I'm optimistic, most days, not so much.
Your favourite drink is? I'm assuming non-alcoholic? Hm. I like milk a lot, especially chcolate and strawberry milk, and I also love apple juice, and passionberry juice.
Smoking. Yes or no? I smoke, but not often. I really only do it when I just can't take much more of life and need to relax and distract myself.
Scraping the Surface
What are your interests? I love music... I play violin and a small amount of piano. I roleplay (mostly Firefly, and mostly River), I watch Firefly, and anything that Summer Glau is in. I make icons, also, and I play a few browser-based MMORPGs.
What are your pet peeves? Poor grammar, rude people, people who comment on entries I make with off-topic stuff, or saying "Sorry, I can't do this!" when I ask for help, or for people for a get-together or whatever. If you can't help, or can't do it, then just don't comment. I also hate when people are rude for no good reason, and I loathe stupidity, particularly when people broadcast their ignorance and try to make it seem funny. "OMGZ, LOLZ, SORRY, I R TEH DUMB, HAHAHA". No. Just shut up.

What are your hobbies? Special talents? I play violin, and I'm very quick at learning music. I joined orchestra in 7th grade, a month and a half into the school year, and I was caught up with the rest of the class in two weeks... ahead of everyone else in another. I'm also good at Sudoku! I play a lot of Sudoku because my life is very dull.
Your strengths lie in… and why? Honestly, I don't think I have many strengths.
Your weaknesses are… and why? Pretty much everything! I'm very emotionally vulnerable and rather unstable. I don't do well around people, and I have a difficult time controlling my emotions. I also get lonely a lot, which is really hard to deal with because, well, I have trouble being around people. I'm not very creative, I'm very high-maintenance, and I sometimes find myself surprised that I even have any friends.
Digging a little Deeper
Who do you admire (whether it be fictitious or real life) and why? Summer Glau. She's the actress who plays River in Firefly and Serenity. She also plays Tess Doerner in The 4400, and has a number of other minor roles. (And an upcoming regular role in The Unit!) She's a VERY talented actress (I find myself crying at a lot of her emotional scenes), and she's also an amazingly talented dancer. She's very pretty, of course, and she's very sweet. I had the pleasure of meeting her once, and she was very friendly and kind, and seemed very touched that I was such a huge fan! She's rather famous in her circles, and it's very nice to see that it hasn't gone to her head at all.
What do you look for in a friend and why? Really, I look for anyone who can tolerate me and isn't a pain in the ass. If they're nice to me, not annoying, and can tolerate me, I'm happy. Oh, and if they're not back-stabbers, of course.
If you were in a rock band, which position would you play and why? Realistically? I'd probably be a minor musician. Ideally, I'd love to be a lead singer, but I'm not a very good singer.
How would your ideal room/apartment look like and why? I've never been very picky about stuff like that. As long as it doesn't smell bad, isn't a hazard to my health, and has a decent amount of room, that's fine with me.
If you were a piece of jewelry what would you be and why? I really don't know. I've never been good at answering questions like that.
From the Manga
Who is your favorite character and why? Reira. I cosplay her, and she's quirky and eccentric and fun, but also very sad and real, I think.
Who is your least favorite character and why? Hm. Until I read the part in the manga where he met up with Hachi again, I'd have said Shoji. But I'd have to say Takumi. I hate guys like that... controlling assholes.
Your favorite pairing? And why? I love a lot of them! Nana/Ren, Reira/Shin, Hachi/Nobu. Nana/Ren was meant to be, Hachi/Nobu because Nobu's a good guy and just perfect for Hachi, and Reira/Shin because... well, I don't know, really... it's kind of touching.
Your favorite relationship? And why? Nana and Hachi's friendship. Cliche, I guess, but that is a deep, deep love they have for each other. I've never had a relationship like that before, and I wish I could have something like that.
