The Basics

Describe the meaning or significance in your username: Back in high school me and my friends thought we were the s*** when we gave ourselves nicknames. Mine was Rei Ayanami Yuy (Rei for short, obviously), after my then two favourite anime characters, Rei Ayanami from Evangelion, and Heero Yuy from Gundam Wing. I still use it out of nostalgia. It's been five years now!
Favorite color: Black or red.
Do you give orders or simply follow what's given to you?: Hmm...I don't mind following orders if they make sense, but if someone has requested something stupid or something I can't do, I don't have a problem arguing with them about it or taking charge.
Is the glass half full or half empty?: Depends whether you've just poured half in or drunk half down, really.
Your favourite drink is?: Coke, good old favourite.
Smoking. Yes or no?: I don't smoke but it wouldn't bother me if I did.
Scraping the Surface
What are your interests?: I love reading, and I'm trying to do a lot more of it seeing as I have a lot of free time on my hands. I also enjoy drawing, but I haven't done so for a while. Most of all, my favourite past-time is writing, and that's what I hope to do for a living one day just like everyone else on LJ
What are your pet peeves?: Mindless RnB or Rap music, being nagged by my mother, stuck-up girls, Mary Sues, people who throw pity-parties, my hair.
What are your hobbies? Special talents?: I don't really have any special talents, unless you count procrastination. I'm really not that good at anything, unless you count writing, and I'm not even that great at that. I do hope to learn to play the guitar one day soon. My house is full of them, I should take advantage of it!
Your strengths lie in… and why? : Hmm...I guess I'm able to look a little deeper into things than some of my friends, I can give good advice, and I suppose I have a good sense of humour and taste. I love fashion, and I have unusual ideas.
Digging a little Deeper
Who do you admire (whether it be fictitious or real life) and why?: I really think it's a waste of time admiring someone, because they'll have their own faults even if you don't know about them. I can't really think of anyone I admire.
What do you look for in a friend and why?: I hate that whole gossiping, back-stabbing bullshit, because it's just drama for the sake of drama, so I want a friend who's above all that and won't take part in any of that garbage.
If you were in a rock band, which position would you play and why?: I'd love to be a lead guitarist. I'm a leo, so I'm quite vain in that I love being flattered and admired by people, and I think I'd rather be admired for something I had to work at (guitar) than something that comes naturally (voice). I can't sing, anyway!
How would your ideal room/apartment look like and why?: I'd like each room to have a theme, like 'This is the Japan theme room' and 'This is the Parisian brothel theme room' sort of thing.
If you were a piece of jewelry what would you be and why?: I'd be the Orb Lighter. I can be kind of nonchalantly there, but if someone rubs me up the wrong way I can have a fiery temper. So, a lighter that looks like a regular necklace would be cool.
From the Manga
Who is your favorite character and why?: I adore Hachi. Her faces she makes when she's in shock or when Nana tells her off are just adorable. She's cuteness personified! I also have a soft spot for Reira, though I'm not sure why. Maybe because she makes similar faces to Hachi.
Who is your least favorite character and why?: Takumi, because he treats women like crap.
Your favorite pairing? And why?: Nana and Hachi, because I like them the most when they're together. They complement each other very well, and come on, who doesn't want some femslash?
Your favorite relationship? And why?: Again, Nana and Hachi. It's what the manga's all about, after all! Their cat-and-dog thing is really just fun to watch.
