There were many things about Dean Winchester that Castiel either didn't understand or didn't approve of. His ways of making money somehow fell into both categories. How he could spend hour after hour in a smoke-filled room packed full of other men, hunched down over cards and plastic chips...

"Woohoo! Come to papa!"

Right now Dean was scooping those plastic chips towards him. He stood, finally remembering his stoic companion waiting in the shadows behind his chair. Castiel blinked as Dean reached out, placing both hands on the sides of the angel's face before pulling him in for a quick, and rather chaste, kiss on the lips.

But a kiss, nonetheless.

"Cas, it's all-you-can-eat burgers tonight!"

And with that, Dean Winchester was ready to cash out.

He kissed with his eyes closed. Hers were still wide open. Elena hadn't realized Matt's intentions when he leaned towards her during the commercial break, not until his lips were pressed against hers. He was in bad need of chapstick and his mouth tasted like nicotine. Now she second-guessed the tilt of her head, wasn't sure where to put her hands. And a spring from his broken-down couch was poking her in the small of her back. The kiss was like them, flawed in so many ways.

Elena never wanted it to end.
