I haven't been writing for ages. I hear the words but when I try to write them, they just go *poof*. I'm trying to force it right now because really, I want to write again. T_T
Wrote a nonsense piece for practice. Turned out more like a children's story. I suppose I'll revise it one day, and make it sound prettier, more child-like. For now:

The Golden Mirror. ROUGH first draft. )

When I started reading this, I felt like I was reminded of something. And I tried to search my memory even as I read. I thought and thought but couldn’t find it. When the story ended, a certain regret was all, fading but existent.
It’s not a nonsense piece, actually. It’s quite weighty, I think. As for it being a children’s story, I think it’s a grown-up’s story about a child’s story left behind.
It’s pretty as it is, childlike in a sense that a quiet wonder seems to permeate the piece. There’s serenity, a sense of blithe uncaring, fantasy. The description, the flow is unhurried like the goings-on in the world of a child. And the Maria Kapra was intriguing-was she, or was she not, a creature of magic? Or was it’s magical quality inlaid merely by the child’s imagination?
Wow. I’m quite taken by this, Allisama. =)It's gorgeous.

ANYWAY, thanks so much for the comment. *hugs* Apparently, my dad says Maria Capra is spelled like this cuz it's Spanish. The bird, though, is really just a bird, but in many ways birds seem kind of magical, don't they? Especially the Maria Capra. I saw one in our yard once or twice, and that was exactly my impression of it. They do like to dance too. ^.^
Yay, I made you feel regret! It was just for a moment, but still! ^___^
I know there are some parts of the story that don't make sense. The golden mirror, for example, seems to come out of no where, but I meant something by it because of my original motivation when I wrote this. Now though... I see I have to give more reason behind it.
I thank you very much for your comment, Melpomene. *loves* Oi! Wag na iyung "Allisama". Alli na lang! *bonk bonk bonk*
