Granted it was just one ep and in the middle of the series, but fullmetal Alchemist only seems average for an anime. It seems like something that much more could have been done with but wasen't. there's been several animes lately that have gotten good reviews but I only find so-so such as Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, and Witch Hunter robin. i have seen the entire series, i will admit the first few epps arent that good....and are sorta slow it picks up at like ep 13....

Ah, the ep on tonight was somewhere in the later single digits. Maybe I'll watch it again if I catch it *shrug*

The anime starts off kinda "slow" I guess. It throws in some twisted shit early on like little girls being fused with their dogs... and then being blown from the inside out because they are an abomination of god in the eyes of a religious nut. At first, the anime seems as though it's going to be a comedy, but as it progresses the plot gets far more complex, twisted and dark. I'm not sure how butchered the dub being shown on CN is but, if it's like most of what Funimation pumps out, it's crap.

If it's not fansubbed, it's more than likely watered down, sadly. :( Especially if it's done by Funamation...
