That was actually Jason Manns, a friend of Jensen's. He's performed at a few of the cons and mentioned talking to Kripke about his music. Apparently they were able to get one in the show.

Point taken. Still, not anything Dean would listen to, so. Would have been the same reaction if they'd used "Come 'Round More Alabama", although I would have gotten (and snickered at) the meta in that case.

Oh, there were plenty of us out there before this, if the crossover fics are any indication. Please keep in mind the main reason I got hooked on the show was because somebody brought the boys into Milliways and I got curious.

(Always meant to have Murph run across them at some point, just never managed it. Bit of conversation still battering around in my head though-
