Okay y'all, I'm going to try typing this out as I watch. No promises on how well this'll work, mind you - last time I tried this was the '02-'03 season of 24, and that didn't go so well....
IPod with wimp rock? Dean, I feel your pain. That was actually Jason Manns, a friend of Jensen's. He's performed at a few of the cons and mentioned talking to Kripke about his music. Apparently they were able to get one in the show.
Point taken. Still, not anything Dean would listen to, so. Would have been the same reaction if they'd used "Come 'Round More Alabama", although I would have gotten (and snickered at) the meta in that case.
Well, if Castiel can bring Dean back from the dead without a scratch after being torn apart by hell hounds and decomposing for four months, he can probably repair a little stab wound.
"God's got you on a mission (most likely to either save or kill your brother"
LOL. Won't be hard for Dean to believe. He always thought his father was pretty close to God anyway.
Oh, there were plenty of us out there before this, if the crossover fics are any indication. Please keep in mind the main reason I got hooked on the show was because somebody brought the boys into Milliways and I got curious.
(Always meant to have Murph run across them at some point, just never managed it. Bit of conversation still battering around in my head though-
Winchester [never was sure if it was Sam or Dean]: He's my brother. Murphy: An' you'd die for him. W: You wouldn't? [looking over wherever Connor had gotten to during the convo] M: [odd look on his face] Already have.)

Back in the first season? Hell yeah, though he'd probably have left off the 'pretty close to' part.
