Rose Week!

'Tis finally over. Rose week is USUALLY the week where trucks upon trucks deliver roses upon roses upon roses in blue buckets, we tag them with names and prices, and put them away. This year, to save on shipping we bought a precise gazillion-trillion bare-root rose grafts from Jackson & Perkins and had them send them to us in cardboard boxes. cost ( Read more... )

heart of darkness?? didn't you get enough of that in todd classes?

and roses are soooooo pretty and one day i will have a house ringed in roses in a climate where keeping them alive is not the uphill-battle-ending-in-death that this last attempt at rose-keeping was...

for rose hips? sure! actually, more than half of the roses we carry, especially antiques bear rose hips.

oh my goddess i need them. lots of them. lots and lots and lots-- that that when some die as all roses do for me, i'll still have some left... i think maybe you have the best place of work ever.
