lol!! but you know, i felt as though i knew you would be a hugger. so it was OK in my mind. ;)
btw, no me gusta our game of phone tag. :P are you going to be at home during the day at all tomorrow?? from late afternoon up through the eve. tomorrow i'm really busy. or perhaps saturday sometime? when are you around?
Lol. Hmmm...I'm at work all day until 4:45ish. I'll probably be around Saturday morning until 12ish. Then I'm not so sure. Are lives are complicated, no?
Nancy, I should hire you to write my LiveJournal entries.;-) I love how you write! And I just sit here going,"Yeah! If I could say things as well, that is exactly what I'd say."
by the way, live journal entries are now available in FOUR EASY PAYMENTS of just $29.95! not only that, but if you pick up the phone and order NOW, you get the ginsu knives for absolutely FREE!! ;) kidding. i'd write for you anytime. you are super cool. for real.
This is the first time i've read your journal - This entry made me laugh so much! Being a middle of the road hugger - (i.e. i like hugging family and good friends, but have a pathological fear of being hugged by strange, random people).
I particularly appreciated... So sometimes I don't initiate hugs (on a regular basis, with those who are not yet in the inner circle, muah ha ha ha) because I have a deeply rooted fear of repulsing a non hugger with my invasion of their personal space bubble. I have a deep 'deeply rooted fear' of having my personal space bubble invaded. :-)
lol...just like Ruth said, I *love* the way you write. :-) I guess I'd say I'm the same as you with regard to hugging... I've only recently felt comfortable hugging my close friends, but just because I was never sure they'd *want* a hug! If they initiate, then I know. With other people hugging just came naturally...like my former youth pastors. :-)
:) thanks. the unspoken things people think about hugs are pretty funny, aren't they???! i kind of assumed i was the only one who thought about random stuff like this, but apparently i'm not alone. :D that's great.
You're not alonejosepiDecember 20 2003, 21:44:47 UTC
You are definitely not alone in thinking random things. In fact, you have described my whole hugging life in one journal entry.
Don't get me wrong: hugs practically make the world go round. :) I am a hugger, a snuggler, (and someday) a smoocher. -I definitely agree on this one.
If I know another person is NOT a hugger, or if I'm just not sure, I don't like to force hugs on people. -ditto yet again. (did i spell ditto right? is that an actual sentence that deserves a period?) I love a good hug but I'm not so much a fan of the akward unsure hug sometimes given in fear of hug rejection. Instead I opt for the non-hug handshake and smile- less personal but genuine although a good hearty hug is much preferred.
I think this is an extra long comment. That's it I'm done.

I remember we hugged when we first met. But I'm a forceful, somewhat abrasive hugger of sorts. Just ask my in-laws. :)
Hugs (ha,ha),
