This is an example of what I get to do when making a living. Ha ha ha. Soon it will be nice to be doing other more worthwhile things (right now I'm just saving the world by selling one outfit at a time), but as mundane and silly as this job can be, it gives me a lot of thinking time.
So I've been thinking a little lately about marriage. I'm leading this small-group with 4 incredible girls who are in high school. One of the suggestions out of the book we've been reading was to use the book of Proverbs, take a chapter each day, and use that to pray for your future husband. It's been so cool to pray using scripture, and Proverbs is so full of awesome and specific things to pray about for him. Also, one of my closest friends from college got engaged last week. I'm not in a relationship, haven't been for about a year now... and although sometimes I feel just like the worst person in the world at the whole dating/guy-girl-more-than-friends thing, in reality that's probably just the critical and hard on myself side of me talking.
Anyhow, who knows when God will bring the man I'll eventually marry into my life... I'm leaving that in His hands. But hearing my friend was engaged got me thinking more seriously about what I would want in a husband. Because sharing is fun (!!), here's my list. I'll be praying about this stuff too.
