I just love the way your comment fics grow into full, involved, whole world epics.
Yay for Nancy Brown.
Great and intriguing start here. Really feeling for Ianto and the new life he doesn't quite fit into. I can understand why Jack isn't liking letting him out though.

You love it, I smack my head and wonder why this keeps happening to me. ;)

I remember reading fix-its where the ending included "and Jack made sure Ianto was safe forever after" which while sweet sounded to me exactly like a recipe for failure. Let's find out ...
She's back! I'm so glad to see another post in this verse. You are brilliant. Ianto seems so lost and in trying to protect him, Jack is breaking him even more. Poor Steven. His mom just doesn't seem to get it. Hope she accepts Ianto's role in her son's life before she harms Steven in ways she can't now imagine.
Mainly I couldn't understand the accents. Also, the author is rather long winded. I have read "Watership Down," but "Plague Dogs" seemed to be paced even slower.
ah, so Rescues was set after MD. I wondered why Jack was still working for Torchwood.
OMG, all the horribly twisty emotions - for everyone. This is why I love you so much. I ache for all of them. And what an irony, that Ianto, who I think really is not very parental, now is feeling so parental toward Steven and Anwen and probably any kid. To be needed. Poor lamb.

Yeah, I wrote it before MD aired, and made vague references to "stuff Jack and Gwen did in America" but was mostly trying to ignore it. Still am, but now this fits in with aired canon, so it's still a plausible fix. Mostly.

Well, with Anwen he has reasons. In Rescues there's a throwaway bit about how he and Gwen *cough* "celebrated" post-Journey's End and how he was slightly worried at her announcement not long after. ;) Now that he has reassured himself she looks like Rhys, he's happy.
That's okay. I left it ambiguous so it could be an Easter egg for anyone who did remember, and everyone else would assume he meant Jack. (Which he wasn't ruling out, either. So.)

I bought a copy of "The Plague Dogs" because of that story. I only got as far as chapter two, but I got it! Because of you and that story!

Hope you like the rest of the fic!
