I'm just relieved to find comments from other people, who seem sane enough, that feel as angry as I did at Alice and Jack. I was wondering if I was a tad over involved. I don't like Albert either.
I really like how you weave Ianto's personal grief and struggles with this plotty story that has interesting OCs and aliens who live in Croydon.
You are a tad over involved and this is okay. ;) Albert is like Owen, deliberately: a blast to write for, but not someone I would ever want to know in real life.
The aliens in Croydon were supposed to be a throwaway line in the last fic. And then I needed aliens, and look! There they were ...
There is so much PLOT and it's like a gift from heaven. I always like how you write Ianto and it's great to see him stretching and having to work on his own. I loved the bit about Ianto remembering the thrill of keeping things from Jack.
I also like that their current situation is so both of their faults. Ianto not understanding that Jack needs more time to adjust to Ianto being there, and Jack not realizing that Ianto has had a year to adjust and needs some structure and "normal" again.

Hee, me too. I tend to be very "they didn't get together until after Cyberwoman" most of the time, but the other way around fits REALLY WELL in this storyverse.

I think you have just described every feeling I've ever had about them.
Thank you,, Thank youThank you for your wonderfully plotted mystery with two of my favorite detectives. I've been thinking I would like to see the plot bunnies go on a procreation orgy and give Ianto and Jack many cases to solve, some yhat angst, some fluff, some well anything.... I do love them as much for their minds as I do for the other stuff..

You mean the 'verse in which Ianto has slept with Amy and Gwen? And everything is dark and gray and unclear? YEAH. *cough* *backs out of conversation*

But he always has the best intentions.
I love the subtleties of your characters. You don't beat us over the head with things but all the feelings in here make me ache.
Great plot too.

Of course, he's not the only one.
