Owen was definitely the perfect Bill Murray replacement in this and time loops and Torchwood are the perfect match obviously. I enjoyed reading Owen's growth through the story and the little insights into the rest of the characters.
Would love to know what exactly Jack and Ianto were doing with the Kewpie dolls. Or maybe not. lol. Anyway fantastic job.
I wasn't sure about Owen's character growth here. Rabecka and I went back and forth a couple of times, because yes growth is good, but it's Owen. :D
The way I figure, when aligned correctly, the Kewpie dolls emit a very ... pleasing ... mental field. So if four happen to be lined up around a horizontal surface like a bed or similar, well, that would be even better! Honestly, half the loops were just excuses to have them screw more. ;)
Thanks so much! When the next round comes up, give it a try. I'm not the first in this fest, and we've all written the plot before, I'm sure. That's what makes it fun!
In the end, Owen did an awful lot of good, he can be proud of himself. Tosh, I'm sure, is proud of him.
It occurs to me that if Owen and Tosh moved to that village and took over Torchwood House from Archie, they'd survive Gray's revenge rampage. How much else might change? Maybe the two of them would find a way to defeat the 456 with no loss of life...
That was so fab. I loved Owen's journey, I love how he ended up saving everyone and diagnosing Archie and everything he'd learnt. It was nice because at first I thought he was being a twat. I'd forgotten how the film played out.
The scene with them trying to avoid Jack knowing it was the doctor was hilarious, I could really picture it.
:D :D Thanks! Given the plot of the movie, it had to be Owen. The "avoiding the Doctor" bit came after I'd written this quasi serious thing, and realized during edits that I was an idiot and this was a comedy.
A mile high Ferris wheel, Clara. Goldfish can win you in giant bowls!
Don't think I ever mentioned it in the various back and forths, but I adore this. I can hear twelve's voice better than I usually hear it when people write twelve :) I'm currently sitting here watching DW, so it seemed the right time to remember this...
