They were going to have a baby. That makes the situation even sadder now and also the story is also finished **sobs** Really enjoyed this and would love to read more from you both in the future.

It would be great if you wrote some more of their past lives together. I am sure there was more than one :o)

xffan_2000 did some detective work on the language of flowers and found out that the flower he gave her includes the meaning "motherhood." We took that and ran.

Got something in the works regarding other past lives. It'll be quite a while before it sees the light of day, though.

Great to hear that you have something in the pipe-line concerning their other past lives. That would be so interesting to read so I am already looking forward to reading it.

Absolutely fantastic story, every bit!

Right now I'm still pretty grumpy that I didn't get to see "Ancient History" when it aired last night; the 3-year-old was still up, and huby vetoed watching the show because he didn't want her to see all the "buy this! Buy that! You MUST do this and have that in order to have fun and be accepted by your peers!" commercials that are aired on Cartoon Network. Arrgh.

But I doubt that whatever was shown on screen would have come even close to what this story gave us, and that's not even counting the raw sex!

*rereads, and wonders* Kind man all in green, who sang sweetly to Metit in her dreams? So that would be... Green Arrow, and Metit is an earlier incarnation of Dinah Lance? Or... or might Metit be Vixen, who had John Stewart's affections at the very least?

You still haven't seen it? Dude. We must find a way to fix this.

We left Metit ambiguous on purpose. Could be Mari, could be Dinah, could be someone we haven't met yet. :) Is probably not Mari, since everyone else looked like themselves in the flashback, and Metit didn't look like anyone we knew.

Glad you liked the story, even if you missed the source material. :P

You haven't seen "Ancient History"? As Nancy said...that simply MUST change. Not only is it what this story is based on, but there is a lot of HG/GL/Vixen stuff. And the ending...well...just ouch.

But yeah, what you saw on screen (or rather, would have seen, if you'd gotten to see it) is our jumping-off point and since Chayara and Bashari had maaaaaybe five minutes of air time, we've got a lot more of their life story here. :o)
