...I've read many a fix-it fic, and so far, this has been the most plausible of all of them. And darn fascinating, too. I actually barely managed to stop myself from clicking in the link to the next chapter long enough to leave this comment to say how much I'm loving this.

This is fantastic. Very enjoyable. Love the characterizations, the story, the business suit as fetish attire, pre-Earth Jack.

Yes, I too loved the suit as fetish gear! But loved many other things too, such as Ianto's resourcefulness, his observations about Jack, especially Jack Harkness or whoever he is has a lot to learn yet about sex. Which really made me chuckle.

Oh yes, and what an intriguing idea for a fix it fic. Beautifully written, too. Your descriptions of the future tech and society give us just enough detail, without getting bogged down in it, and it's all filtered through Ianto's wonderfully dry sense of humour.

Will be reading more asap!

I'm finally, finally getting around to reading this, and it's great - I love stories where Ianto meets Jack-from-before. Jack went through so much between Parting of Ways and Everything Changes, it's neat to consider how those two would interact at different points in their lives.

Thanks! I wanted to look at Jack before Empty Child; clearly there was a good person in there somewhere, but he didn't seem to have a lot of practice with the concept. And meanwhile, this is an Ianto who's in love, who's got a lot of hero-worship going on, and who already is having trouble rectifying the things he learned in COE with his mental picture of Jack. So that was fun to work out, too. :)
