Do I like the candidate you supported? Not in the least. You've seen my entry, you picked each thing I cited in it to point out here. Am I alarmed by these things? You bet.
But does your vote change how I feel about you? Not in the least. You weighed the issues, and you voted your heart. So did I. I certainly didn't mean to target you, or any other well-read, intelligent Bush-supporter in my circle of friends in my disappointment in the electoral process, the gloating by other Bush supporters in my office, and my fears for the future. And I'm sorry that I got you.
Yes, we can get along. Politics will just have to be one of those things we agree to disagree on. Pax?

But, as Kerry himself said, we're all Americans. I had by views and you had yours before the election, and it didn't affect our friendship, so I don't think it should now.
I've -always- been willing to agree to disagree - it's just that your posts were beginning to make me wonder if you could do the same.
Let's just take politics off the table, okay? We vote our consciences, persuade whom we can, and continue to love and respect each other. Can we do this?
