You caused me to recall (re call ;re member re-seed {not re-cede) re-kin-dle) one of the first words that intrigued me with it's lack of individual meaning.That is, it is one of the few words that will not stand alone, in the common use of eveyday language, without its pre-fix and/or suf-fix: (However, I can't re-call just now, if it is found to have a meaning, while attached to a suffix only):: JECT

Re-Ject; Ab-ject, Sub-ject, In-ject... well, you get the idea.

Ahhh... the dregs of having started school in 1950!
