You might find this clock similarly amusing:

Don't remember having heard of the TNS before, but I am mildly gratified to find that I qualify in at least two ways (SAT, GRE).

(One of the things that I like about working at Google is that most of my coworkers probably also qualify. :) )

As for triskelions: they remind me of a tripartite variant on the yin-yang symbol that I created a long time ago (not novel, I'm sure).

I'm good at standardized tests, but I also don't think that means much. (My 1986 SATs would qualify me even if considered by their 1995-2005 criteria.)

For one thing, that far out on the curve the tests are probably horribly imprecise.

[Whispering] I don't qualify for the triple 9 society on any basis (I don't think).

But I can do the math... With a calculator.

Hey, since when are you on LJ? Oh, I see... since TODAY!

Welcome. Maybe you'll post more often than I do. ;-) At least you do a holiday newsletter, for which I am belatedly thanking you.

As I expected, the toss-off mention of the high-IQ society got a lot more responses than the clock did.

And nobody but me and a few Wikipedia editor cares about triskelions, I guess. How did I know that word? "Everything I know I learned from Star Trek."
