I like the Capitol Steps (and have seen them twice in DC) and have never heard of Red Priest. Still, that's not the issue. I suppose the question is: How easy is it, if at all, to transfer either set of tickets?

Both were free for your friends, so that's not at stake. However, both should be used, if possible. If M can use the tickets with someone else fairly easily, you should shamefacedly but excitedly talk about Red Priest and apologize profusely. If M can't transfer the tickets to someone else, but K can, you should probably stick with the earlier commitment.

If neither can be transferred, go to the one you want to the most, and promise the other another event on you. Yes, it means that two sets of free tickets, neither of which were awarded to you, might cost you money.

At least, that's how it appears to me.
